superficie de la France

With 672,051 km2, France’s surface area is the 41st largest in the world.

This area includes overseas departments and regions such as Guadeloupe, Martinique, Reunion Island, Mayotte and French Guyana. Overseas collectivities are also taken into account in this calculation (French Polynesia, New Caledonia and other small territories).

At the European level, metropolitan France is the largest of the European Union countries, ahead of Spain (504,752 km2) and reunified Germany (356,755 km2).
