I couldn’t agree more with this quote attributed to Charlemagne. Knowing another language allows you to think differently, to organise your thoughts in a different way.

If you have the opportunity to live in another country and speak another language than your mother tongue, then this situation gives you the opportunity to develop other aspects of your personality.
